Female adult Dragons in the future?
#1
I know we had more female dragons in the old classic Spyro games after the OG trilogy, notably in A Hero's Tail and Shadow Legacy. But I'm more open to the idea of the developers actually looking into why there were no female dragons in the original trilogy and we only got female baby dragons from Spyro 3.

Insomniac Games mentioned that they had no female voice actors, there was a limited hired voice cast and the lack of technical hardware that could allow differences between male and female dragons.

Now with the evolution of technology and budget, we have a chance for that, especially after how Toys For Bob handled the creativity for all 74 adult male dragons. Devon Cady-Lee mentioned that he and the art team of Reignited proposed to TFB about lady dragons for Spyro but never went through with it as it was too inconsistent with the original Spyro trilogy that only had male dragons.

Do you think they could explain why the female dragons weren't around in the original Spyro trilogy and Reignited in a new game? It's possible. I can see them introducing female dragons like Ember, who was around Spyro's age in the old games. They can also reintroduce Cynder if they choose.

I can bet they would repeat exactly what they said before with the OG trilogy: lack of voice actors en specifically the limited ~250 polygons budget per dragon.

And for the new reignited trilogy I think something along the lines like this: "yeah, we had to follow the original concept in order not to create chaos within the community."

However, I am certain there WILL be female young/adult dragons since the reignited is now out there and there never was a real concept for Spyro 4 from Insomniac Games.
So, Toys for Bob can go all out on this one..

Or Toys for Bob AND another developer.... nah, that'll turn into chaos

This sounds mean but I hope that Activision isn't gonna influence the development too much.

They have to, they are the publisher and IP owner after all. They have to oversee the development.

That is true, I didn't mean that they shouldn't. I just hope that they let Toys for Bob (or other developer) be... creative, do what they want.
Of course they have to steer it a bit here and there. uuhh.

I am sorry I just cannot explain what I mean. Cry
Just, not too strict on what's possible and what shouldn't.

let's hope that there won't be any micro transactions in there (if it is a single-player game) off-topic, sorry

No worries, I also hope Acti doesn't do anything foolish.
