What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - Ospyro3em - 04-29-2018 If you don't count the original trilogy, which Spyro game is your favourite- be it from the classic, Legend or Skylanders series? For me, I think it would have to be Spyro: Adventure (Attack of the Rhynocs outside the PAL region) for the GBA. I love this game, from its levels to the music to the dialogue. It seems hardly anyone talks about this game, which is a shame because it really is a hidden gem. RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - BitCritterSpyro - 04-29-2018 A Hero's Tail. It was the most competently made console game after the Insomniac Trilogy, even if there had been some design flaws galore in that game. At least nothing was broken ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - Vice Emargo - 04-29-2018 The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. The second game in the Legends series, it improved upon what A New Beginning was experimenting with. Combat was slightly refined, and gave Spyro a, sort of unique, ability to give him an advantage when fighting mobs of enemies, which is a popular trend in the series. I don't know how I feel about how they changed what each ability did in each game, but TEN had a good mix of abilities to use, while some in ANB were moreover utility. The story is the best and worst in TEN, as it had the most amount of potential to tell a story, especially to elongate Cynder's redemption arc, which would be pushed off until Dawn of The Dragon, which does not do her any favors. Overall, the game is my favorite because of the concept, not quite because of the execution. RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - RedDragonX - 04-29-2018 For me it would be the Legend Series as a whole generally because I liked that they attempted to make Spyro much more story directed. If I had to rate the entries in said series, would be TEN, DoTD then ANB, but I enjoy them all for what they offer. Never got into the Skylander series and the other non-insomniac games just didn't have the spirit of the originals, even though they certainly tried. Just wish the Legend series got more appropriate development time, especially in the final entry. RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - SpyroFan69 - 05-08-2018 If I’m being honest, Enter The Dragonfly has to be one of my favorites aside from Attack of The Rhynocs. I know Enter The Dragonfly is a broken, unfinished game but it does try to be a Spyro game and it wasn’t its developers’ fault it was rushed that dishonor belongs to Universal Interactive. It’s honestly why I would love to see Enter The Dragonfly remade and completed tbh. RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - AliceBlaze - 05-10-2018 A Hero's Tail. I have good memories playing that game and even to this day, I find it just as fun to replay as the PS1 games. RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - Kairi_In_Artisans - 05-11-2018 General Spyro eh, aside of the In Trilogy? (Yet to finish the original Spyro the Dragon), A Hero's Tail, The three Legend of Spyro Games (The GBA and DS versions of A New Beginning are my favorite versions) and Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - Heroine of Winds - 06-19-2018 Spyro: A Hero's Tail and Spyro: Season of Flame have to be my favorite and most underrated non-Insomniac Spyro games. A Hero's Tail may have been flawed, but it was still a fun game regardless. RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - Dragonman406 - 07-12-2018 I have to say Skylanders Giants,I really had fun Collecting the New Characters and it was a massive upgrade from the first game RE: What's your favourite non-insomniac Spyro game? - ThunderSnowolf - 07-13-2018 Too many to list just one of them. |
