So, if one were to look at a Skavenger, or even their concept art https://www.artstation.com/artwork/84XkR, what species do you think they'd be? Jackals, or just dogs? Rats? Hyenas? Seriously, what are they? 'XD

As a kid I thought they were dogs. These days I just call them “filler”.

My mind keeps jumping to rat when I see their tails.

I now headcanon that most Skavengers are Epicyons, an extinct, canid genus of the subfamily Borophaginae. It's the closest animal I could find that the Skavengers bear some resemblance to.
